MELODY GRAVES TERRELL, BS’98, and husband Toby have moved to Illinois where he was transferred with his job with Mycogen Seeds. He is field coordinator for the state of Illinois, dealing with soybeans and corn. AMANDA TERRELL, BA’96, is living in Nashville, Tennessee, and is teaching at Radnor Baptist Academy where she was recently named Teacher of the Year. She teaches high school English, speech/debate, theatre and Bible. She directs three shows a year, coaches the National Forensic League, directs the Christian drama team (IMPACT), and is the assistant cheerleading coach. SONYA JOHNSON TERRY, BS’90, lives in Kingwood, Texas, where she is adjunct mathematics teacher at North Harris Community College.  Husband Mark is worship leader at Forest Cove Baptist Church and Sonya is pianist for the blended Sunday services.  She also teaches in the women’s ministry at the church and is facilitator for the Beth Moore Class.  The Terrys have two children, David, 9 and Elizabeth, 6.  The children are active in soccer, basketball, Precepts, piano lessons, Boy Scouts, and dance.  Mark and Sonya were scheduled to take a music group to Prague for a mission trip in June.  They attended the Metro II Music Minister’s Converence in Los Angeles where they ran into RIX “TOM” TILLMAN, BM’88, who is minister of music at First Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas.   LUCY LOZANO, BS’90, is an important part of the Terry family and the children call her Tia.  Sonya would love to hear from Wayland friends. KELLI THAMES, BA’95, is teaching in the Lubbock ISD where she will begin her 5th year of teaching at Murfee Elementary. She teaches 3rd and 4th grade composition and reading. Kelli is half-way through her master's degree in school counseling at Texas Tech University and hopes to be a school counselor in the next few years. ELLEN MASTEN TIDWELL, BA’90, and husband Ted live in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he is in sales with Central State Manufacturing, Inc. MINERVA TORRES, AT’91, BSOE’93, and husband Juan have moved to El Paso where he has been reassigned. She will be looking for employment soon. PAUL TUNG, BSOE’91, who graduated from the Hawaii Campus, has settled in the Dallas area. After serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and four years with the Department of Defense, he decided that it was time to move closer to his family again. Through intense negotiation, he was able to convince wife Tina, to sell their home, leave their daughter who is attending a nearby university, pack their bags and move to Texas from Maryland. Today--a year later, they are still married and living in Richardson, Texas. Paul works as a loan officer/processor, and executive/marketing assistant at Global Star Mortgage located in Garland, and Tina stays busy with her oil painting and socializing with her new-found friends. KIM CULLENDER WAGGONER, BS'95, lives in Claude, Texas, and is a licensed occupational therapist. She is director of occupational therapy for Panhandle Rehabilitation Specialists. Kim graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center with her degree in occupational therapy. Husband Kyle is a licensed geologist and is senior project manager for Environmental Scientists for Llano Permian Environmental. PAM GENTRY WELCH, BBA’90, and husband David went through big changes in 2005.  They had been serving for more than 14 years with the International Mission Board of the Souther Baptist Convention as missionaries to Taiwan.  They resigned in June 2005 and are now living in Pace, Florida, a suburb of Pensacola.  David is teaching 8th grade earth science, 9th grade Bible and life management skills to all high school grades at East Hill Christian School.  Pam taught 4th grade for a quarter and a half at Reedemer Lutheran School as a fill in for a teacher who had a broken leg.  She is now working at Armor Records Management.  They have two children, Daniel and Alissa. 
The Welches are members of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola where David has been ordained as a deacon.

Eddie resigned from the Annuity Board of the Southern Baptist Convention to work with Carrie whose home-based business had grown to the point where she needed help. BRUCE WILLIAMS, BA'92, lives in Boston where he is pursuing a Master of Architecture degree while concurrently working at an international architecture firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts next to Harvard University. In his spare time he travels abroad, attends Trinity Episcopal Church, and is training for the 2003 Boston Marathon. Bruce does volunteer work for the Berkeley Public Garden Project and The John Kerry Committee in Boston. JOE WILLIAMS, BSOE’95, FS, who graduated from the Phoenix Campus and then worked in external affairs at the Plainview Campus, is still working for Cal Farley's Boys Ranch where he is Director of Safety, Security, and Campus Training.  Oldest daughter, Sparkle, is serving in the military and is in Iraq and is scheduled to return home in February.  Joe and wife Vi are caring for Sparkle’s 18 month-old-son, Javon while she is away.  Vi has taken leave from her job to care for her grandson.  Youngest daughter Crystal got married in June 2006.  Joe is pursuing his masters degree so it is a busy time in the Williams household.  (P.O. Mr. and Mrs. TY WITTE, BA’98 (CARI ALTER, BS’97) live in Anchorage, Alaska, where he is an officer with the Anchorage Police Department. Cari is a homemaker and mother to daughter, Emily, 2. Ty writes that he “loves being a cop and gets to have contact with people who are at the ends of their rope and tell them about Jesus Christ.” He got to kick in his first door recently and says “it was awesome.” He loves his job even though he realizes that it has its hazards, “but somebody has to stand in the gap.” Ty and Cari are expecting their second child in September and enjoyed a vacation with his family in Orlando, Florida, in February. MICHELLE WYATT, BS’93, who has served as assistant women’s basketball coach at Wayland for three years, has accepted a similar position at South Plains College in Levelland. A former Flying Queen herself, Wyatt played her first two years of college ball at Abilene Christian before transferring to Wayland. After graduation from Wayland, Michelle was graduate assistant coach at Texas Christian University before serving one year as assistant coach at Hutchinson Kansas Community College.

Mr. and Mrs. DEAN WILLIAMSON, MBA’98 (SHARLA, FS) have moved to Mt. Vernon, Georgia, where he has accepted a position as director of public relations for Brewton-Parker College. He had served as director of public relations at Wayland for three years. Sharla will serve as secretary in the campaign office at Brewton-Parker. Mr. and Mrs. STEPHEN ZORNES, BSOE’99 (DEBBIE, BSOE’03) who graduated from the San Antonio Campus, live in San Antonio and he is currently employed at the Wayland Campus bookstore. He is also pursuing his masters degree at the campus. Debbie is nurse-patient coordinator for VNA and Hospice of South Texas. Debbie graduated in June, Summa Cum Laude.
