RONNIE CAGLE, BSOE’99, is NCOIC aeromedical staging/evacuation with the U. S. Air Force, stationed at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. A technical sergeant, Ronnie successfully completed an intensive 3-month long advanced medical course titled, "Independent Duty Medical Technician." This course trains highly motivated medics for forward deployment in or near combat zones during humanitarian assistance or contingency operations other than war. Mr. and Mrs. CHAD CAIN, BA’98 (MEREDITH RUNYAN, BS’96) continue to live in Pasadena, California, where he is a graduate student at Fuller Theological Seminary and she teaches kindergarten at Washington Accelerated Elementary School. Chad will complete his masters degree in June and they hope to return to Texas. Their daughter Abby Grace was one-year-old on March 8. Chad calls himself the “surfin’ seminarian” but confesses that he is more of a runner than a surfer. RODI DUNNAM CALDWELL, BA’90, and her husband, Andy, announce the birth of their son, Khyber Preston Caldwell, on Oct. 4, 2007. MATTHEW CALLAHAN, BA’92, has moved to Winston, Oregon, where he is a sales representative for Dell Computers. He made the move from Alaska to be closer to family and for business opportunities. Marty, who retired last year after years in Civil Service, is a graduate of San Antonio Campus and serves as vice president of the San Antonio Alumni Chapter. Tom was retired from the U.S. Army and is buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. RENAE CHAPMAN, BS’95, is still serving as articulation officer for Alliant International University in San Diego. As such, she develops articulation agreements with community colleges for students who want to transfer to AIU and she also works with transfer center directors, teachers to market AIU and the programs which they offer. Renae is an avid runner and competes in triathlons. Recently, she joined CHAD CAIN, BA’98, to run in the Carlsbad half marathon. Renae writes that she really enjoys spending time with Chad, Meredith and Abby and is thankful that they live nearby. She is taking advantage of the great weather to train and compete in several races. In May, she was scheduled to participate in the Wildflower Triathlon. Renae’s sisters have also come to love the sport which involves swimming, biking and running. After getting her degree, Lena changed occupations. She was a secretary for the probation office and wrote a grant for a victim assistance program for the county. RHEA COOPER, BSOE’98, has been named the new fire chief for the Lubbock Fire Department, after serving as the interim chief for several months. Cooper has worked for the department since 1978 and has trained with the executive fire program at the National Fire Academy in Maryland. He is a certified chief fire officer, fire service instructor, and master firefighter and received the Medal of Valor in 2006. He graduated from the Lubbock campus. They were introduced by a mutual friend. Lisa is a nurse and will be continuing her education in the RN program at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock. BEN DYESS, BA’93, is a specialist in pharmaceutical sales for Pharmacia Corporation. Last February, Ben received Best Sales Presentation Award during company training in New Jersey. He is currently ranked 9th out of 86 sales representatives in his region. He and wife Jennifer, a homemaker, have three sons, Elijah, 6, Luke, 4 and Gabe, 18-months old. Ben writes that he feels “like God has opened up the windows of Heaven and poured out His blessing on his family.” The Dyesses live on 22 acres in Diana, Texas and they enjoy working out, playing racquetball, fishing in their pond and playing baseball in the yard with the boys. KIRK EATON, MBA’97, who graduated from the Wayland Wichita Falls Center, is vice president of economic development programs, west, for Georgia Technical Institute. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from University of Las Vegas before attending Wayland. He and wife Sandra have two children, Pam, 17 and Daryl, 14. Kirk calls Sandra a domestic goddess. DOUG EBERMAN, EX'99, is a song writer who lives in Amarillo and good things are beginning to happen for him. CMT is shooting a reality show and they are including one of his songs. Doug writes under the name of Douglas James and the contestant on the reality show, Marthia, he describes as absolutely wonderful. They were due to spend a couple of weeks in early December recording. The show, "Popularity Contest," is scheduled to begin airing in late March or early April.
