CRUZ ARROYO, AAS, BS0E’97, has been named director of extension programs at Saint Martin’s College in Lacey, Washington. He is managing the college’s extension campuses at Fort Lewis Army Post and McChord Air Force Base. The two bases have some 600 students. Cruz recently retired from the U. S. Air Force where he was recipient of numerous commendations and awards for resource management and training leadership, resource employment and program development and outstanding achievement in international training. KIM BINDEL, BS’98, lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where she is co-host of a syndicated morning show with Salem Radio Network which is heard over 90 radio stations across the country and streamed on-line to DKradio.com. Kim and co-host Doug Griffin broadcast as “Doug and Kim—Your Family Friendly Morning Show” and were featured in the December, 2006 issue of CCM magazine. Kim says that she can’t believe that she is in the magazine that she used to see in the University Store when she was a Wayland student. She was student manager of KWLD, the campus station, as a senior. Kim is a regular speaker for women’s retreats and singles events. With a mission group to which she belongs, Kim went to South Africa in February, 2006 and hopes to return in 2007. She is colaborating on a book with another Wayland graduate, AMANDA TERRELL, BA’96. Kim has two daughters who are doing well, Lauren, 18 and Alexia, 16. Lauren graduates this spring and plans to attend TCU in Fort Worth. Alexia is president of the sophomore class. VICKEY HUDSON BLOODWORTH, BS’92, recently was named Big Spring ISD Teacher of the Year by the local Masonic Lodge. She is a science instructor at Big Spring Junior High and is the first junior high instructor to receive the Mirabeau B. Lamar Award of Excellence in the four years it has been given by Big Spring Masons.
