• Plainview Alumni Gathering: Jan. 24, 2008. Plan to come grab a bite to eat with the Association of Former Students, then head to the Hutch for a 6 p.m. basketball doubleheader against St. Gregory’s.
  
  
• Homecoming slated Feb. 21-24
  “Wayland Around the World” will be the theme of Homecoming 2008 at Wayland Baptist University with entertainment by international students, faculty and staff to be featured.
  
  Homecoming dates are Feb. 21-24 with the Classes of 1958, 1968, 1978, 1988 and 1998 to be honored.
  
  Several distinguished alums will be honored at Friday chapel; the Legacy Luncheon that day will honor grads of 50 years and more; basketball doubleheaders are scheduled Thursday night and Saturday afternoon; the Homecoming lunch is slated Saturday along with the Athletic Hall of Honor inductions; and a theater production is scheduled Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights
