Although Altus is the smallest campus in the Wayland system, we have great success stories.

"I finished my last course at WBU--Altus on August 10, 2002. The administration of the time told me I was the first Altus BSOE graduate. I am returning to WBU (via an online program) to obtain a Masters degree in Public Administration (a long time goal). The BSOE facilitated my selection for every duty position since graduation. It definitely made all the difference in selection for interviews. I am currently a contract specialist with Level II contracting certification for the US Air Force Reserve.

“When someone talks about wanting to go back to school, I always tell them to go see the folks at Wayland! They will help you get everything in line so you know exactly what classes you need to meet your goals. The classes are interesting and the staff works hard to find well-qualified instructors to make sure you get the most from the very first class meeting. Online classes are available if work schedules don’t allow you to be in the classroom. I wish I had talked to them sooner!”

"One of my goals when assigned to Altus AFB was to receive my bachelor's degree. In my mind, this degree substantiates the number of years I have given in service to my country. In addition, it makes me marketable in the civilian community. At times it has been difficult to juggle all the stepping-stones, but this was one of the most rewarding challenges of my life. Leaving Altus AFB with a BSOE degree from Wayland is an accomplishment I will cherish for the rest of my life."

Wade L. Bond, TSgt, USAF
Altus Campus Student

"I would highly recommend anyone pursuing their bachelor's degree to consider Wayland Baptist University.  I only needed 13 classes after transferring my credits from the Community College of the Air Force.  The staff and teachers are top notch and are always ready to answer any questions you may have.  I plan to continue with Wayland utilizing their online classes after I move to Ellsworth AFB, S.D."
