ALTUS UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS


Wayland Baptist - Altus offers baccalaureate programs in distinct disciplines such as occupational education, business, and ministry. Our undergraduate programs are dedicated to the integration of faith and learning, and offer well-rounded experiences focused on producing competent and intelligent professionals and leaders. Our admission policies explain the process of entrance into our Undergraduate programs.

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education
An inverted degree which allows individuals to apply previous technical and vocational training or work experience into credit toward a liberal arts degree for career advancement.

Specializations allow students to hone their business skills in a particular area or they may choose to study general business and choose classes of interest.

Specializations Include:

· Business Administration/General Business Specialization, Exposes students to a broad array of business fields such as management, marketing, accounting and economics courses to prepare for a variety of business careers.

· Business Administration/Health Care Administration Specialization, The specialization in health care administration focuses on the unique issues and situations encountered in the health care field.

· Business Administration/Human Resource Management Specialization, The specialization in human resource management offers the opportunity to hone skills in the area of working in personnel management.

· Justice Administration, Designed for students who want a career in some aspect of corrections, courts, law enforcement, probation and parole, or a local, state, or national justice agency.

· Occupational Education, Designed for students to complete a baccalaureate degree in special fields for which they have already completed training, choosing a
specialization that encompasses that work.

· Management, Exposes students to courses in ethics, law, leadership, human resources and vital issues to prepare them for career advancement in business or
management careers in a variety of business fields.

Bachelor of Christian Ministry
Designed to afford both academic and professional depth for individuals who possess recognized competence in a ministry. The degree is available to students age 25 and over with experience in churches and related ministries, providing a rich overview of history, theology and Biblical study in order to better prepare students for ministry work.
