Scholarship Opportunities

Qualifications: Resident of Oklahoma, Member of Southern Baptist church, Full-time student

Requirements: Maintain full-time status, 2.5 GPA. Scholarships may be retained for a maximum of ten semesters or the completion of a degree program, whichever comes first.

Notification: Scholarship recipients shall be notified by June 15th of his/her award.

The Jaycee Foundation of Oklahoma is honored to present scholarships to selected secondary or non-typical students. Both traditional students and non-traditional students are encouraged to apply.

Awards: $250.00 per recipient

Requirements: Minimum high school cumulative grade point average 2.5. Minimum composite score on the ACT is 18 or the SAT is 850. A history of leadership and community involvement.

Texas Independent College presents...
Reason with Honor

The purpose of the Reason with Honor essay competition is to enrich educational opportunities for students by providing a platform for introspection and thought-provoking commentary illustrating the significance of ethical responsibility.

Awards: Three essays will be selected to receive a scholarship award of $500.00 each.

Student Eligibility: Students eligible to participate must be registered, fill-time undergraduate juniors or seniors.

Essay Topics (pick one): Provide an argument, opinion, or observation related to a current, historical, or theoretical scenario illustrating one of the following:

  • The ethical dimensions of the dynamics of corporate social responsibility and maximization
    of profit
  • The concept 'do not harm' in the practice of your major discipline
  • An ethical issue related to business, politics, or social justice
