RN TO BSN COMPLETION PROGRAM


The Wayland Baptist University Department of Nursing derives its mission from the purpose of Wayland Baptist University which is to educate students in an academically challenging and distinctively Christian environment for professional success, lifelong learning and service to God and humankind. The department of nursing strives to prepare baccalaureate nursing graduates that are competent and caring in the delivery of patient care in a diverse health care environment.

The program provides a Registered Nurse to complete a Bachelor Degree in Nursing in
one year full-time or two years part-time. The student completes 74 semester credit hours of
prerequisite coursework, of which 42 hours must be completed prior to beginning the program.
The student must also take the National League for Nursing RN Mobility Ace II Exam which
will give them 28 semester credit hours of upper-level nursing credit. The student will complete
the program with 30 semester credit hours of upper-level nursing courses.
