What is your favorite book of the Bible and why?
If I had to choose, I would have to say the Gospel of John. I like it because its author writes with such simplicity that even unbelievers and new Christians can understand its message, even while it has such a profundity to enthrall the greatest minds in the history of the Christian Church.

When I’m not in the Flores Bible Building, I love……

Watch college athletics, whether in person or Television. Often my wife, Harriet, and I do this together. We also enjoy traveling and take at least one trip together each year. Not surprisingly, I love theological and biblical study, especially. Finally, I enjoy studying American History through the reading of biographies of American Presidents.

What person in history do you wish you could sit down with for a conversation?

I would most like to have a conversation with Abraham Lincoln about how faith in God helped him deal with the various challenges he faced over the course of his life.

What animal best describes you?

I would like to think there is a little bit of the lion in me. I have a voracious appetite for the study of the Scriptures, and more often than not, for the things of God as well.

Why are you glad to be part of the Wayland Family?

Being part of the Wayland family has always meant and still means the fulfilling of the call of God that came to me when I was eighteen years old. What the Lord has allowed me to do during my time at Wayland has far exceeded my expectations. For this I am very, very grateful.
