Spirit of the Llano Estacado, a Concerto in One Movement for Piano and Orchestra, was premiered by the composer with the Texas Tech University Symphony Orchestra; excerpts of the work were performed by Dr. Belshaw with the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.

Dr. Belshaw composed his first march, Oldest and Finest, in honor of the 150th Anniversary of the U. S. Naval Academy Band.
