Hearst Foundation Science and mathematics scholarship

 

Background and Historical Information

 

  According to the Hearst Foundation, they fund exemplary institutions of higher education dedicated to preparing students to succeed in a global society. Preference is given to undergraduate education at medium size private, liberal arts colleges and universities. The Hearst Foundation generously provided Wayland Baptist University with a grant of $20,000 to endow scholarships in the School of Mathematics and Sciences.

Scholarship Administration

• Award scholarships to students majoring in the division of mathematics and science at Wayland Baptist University.
• Award scholarships on the basis of both proven ability and need.
• Name the award the "Hearst Foundation Science and Mathematics Scholarships Award".

Contribution Information
