Dr. James Mosher ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP for Mathematics
Background and Historical Information
Dr. James R. Mosher attended Detroit, Michigan schools and Wheaton (Illinois) College. He earned both his masters degree and his doctorate in mathematics at Texas Christian University. Dr. Mosher had also studied at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Riche University and University of Texas. Dr. Mosher had taught at Texas A&M for three years before becoming the head of the math and computer department at Wayland Baptist University. In 1984 he went to East Texas Baptist University to teach math. Dr. James Mosher died on October 11, 1989 in a car accident. A mathematics scholarship was created at ETBU and WBU in his honor to assist mathematics students.
