Dr. Reinhart joined our faculty in the Fall of 1999. In 1991, he received a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Texas Tech University, and in 1998 he received a Ph.D. in Anatomy from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. Dr. Reinhart's dissertation research involved the elucidation of molecular mechanisms underlying neural differentiation, and more recently has studied the regulation of genes involved in steroid production. He serves as Health Professions Counselor by advising students who are taking a pre-professional course curriculum leading to acceptance into medical or dental schools, schools of nursing, and other allied health programs. Current teaching responsibilities include introductory Biology and Chemistry classes and upper level Cell and Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Histology and Biochemistry I and II. Dr. Reinhart strongly encourages undergraduate research, and can introduce you to the exciting and rewarding discipline of modern biological research.
