Dr. Gray received his BS in chemistry from Wayland Baptist College in 1979, and he completed his PhD at Texas Tech University in 1984. From 1984 until 1987, Dr. Gray conducted postdoctoral research at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and, upon completion of his postdoctoral work, Dr. Gray worked for two years as a cancer researcher at the Hershey Medical Center (Penn State University). After leaving Penn State University in 1989, Dr. Gray served eighteen years as a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry and Physics, Southwest Baptist University (SBU), Bolivar, Missouri. For the last six years of his service at SBU, Dr. Gray served as the Dean of the College of Science and Mathematics and Director of the Darrell R. Strait Center for the Integration of Science and Christian Faith. Dr. Gray’s research has been published in several scientific journals and books, including Biochemistry, Biochim. Biophys. Acta, Endrocrinology and others. Dr. Gray’s current research interests involve investigations of naturally-occurring chemotherapeutic agents and their effects on breast cancer in laboratory mice.
