DONATIONS

 

Yes we are looking for a handout!  However, we are a very active group and are currently fundraising for two purposes.

We are planning to attend the National Meeting of the ACS in San Francisco in Spring 2010.  The last time we attended a national meeting, it was an incredible learning experience for the members that were able to go.  We are actively fundraising for this trip.  Your support in this area could enable a student to attend who otherwise would be unable to go.

The other project we are currently raising funds for is the Joanne Bowers Scholarship in chemistry.  When this scholarship is fully endowed, it will perpetually provide scholarship funds to Wayland chemistry students.  Contributing to this scholarhip is a great way to honor Mrs. Bowers' contributions to chemistry education while supporting future Wayland chemistry students.

Donations to the SCACS can be directed to Dr. Joel Boyd.  Undesignated donations to the SCACS will be apportioned to each of the above projects.
