Dr. Boyd received his BS in Chemistry and Mathematics from Wayland Baptist University in 1997, and completed his PhD in chemistry at Rice University in 2001. Dr. Boyd currently teaches General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Instrumental Analysis at Wayland.  His current research interests involve the development of materials for photocatalytic purification and sterilization of water.  Click here for more information on Dr. Boyd's undergraduate research projects.
