III.C. Management of Blackboard
The Virtual Campus office assumes all responsibility for maintaining the Blackboard course management system. This will entail:
- Setting up new courses for faculty (whether for online, hybrid, or traditional courses).
- Copying over existing courses for instructors who have previously taught the course.
- Adding student names and IDs as users of Blackboard.
- Populating each course with the registered students for that course.
- Aiding students and faculty in accessing and using Blackboard.
- Maintaining courses after the end of the term when such courses are still needed (for example, in order to copy to the following term or to accommodate students with a grade of "I").
- Cleaning the system of unnecessary data on a regular basis.
- Maintaining the physical integrity of the Blackboard servers.
- Upgrading the system as new versions are available.
