II.D.1. Virtual Campus responsibilities towards students
The Office of the Virtual Campus will provide the following for students desiring to take classes online (posted on the WBU website unless otherwise noted):
- Schedule of courses for the current and the upcoming term
- Syllabi of current and upcoming courses
- Class sizes limited to 25 (override maximum 30) for undergraduate, and 20 (25) for graduate courses
- Specifications of technology requirements
- Tips on successful completion of online courses
- Information regarding the use of Blackboard and other content delivery methods in use by WBU personnel
- Technical support (via website, email, and telephone) for accessing course materials, contacting faculty, and assuring proper enrollment procedures. Support by telephone is limited to office hours on the Plainview campus and to voicemail.
The Office of the Virtual Campus will not provide the following to students:
- Advising on degree programs or financial aid
- Computer equipment to access online courses
- Direct registration for courses (this must be done through a physical campus or IQ.Web)
- Dropping of courses (this must be done through a physical campus)
- Final grades
