II.B. External campuses
The Virtual Campus has a symbiotic relationship with the external campuses. The Virtual Campus enables many of the external campuses to offer degree programs by providing terminally degreed instructors. Conversely, the Virtual Campus draws most of its faculty from the ranks of the external campuses. Responsibilities meet and overlap in several locations. In many cases, office personnel on external campuses will be asked to proctor exams. WBU staff must make every effort to identify the students who request proctoring to insure the integrity of the examination process. Virtual Campus instructors are required to provide sufficient information to the Virtual Campus office, which in turn informs the external campuses, for such validation to take place.
