Progress Report FormsThe Registrar or the Campus Dean is to be notified of unsatisfactory progress of a student. Campus Deans should be notified when it becomes obvious that a student has excess absences or is doing unsatisfactory work. Deficiency reports are sent at mid-semester to those students enrolled on the Plainview Campus. If possible notify the student of the fact that their work is unsatisfactory. This may allow resolution of the situation before the end of the term so that the student does not receive a D or F for the course.Unsatisfactory ProgressBy the end of the 5th week, an Unsatisfactory Progress Report should be filed in the Campus office for each student who is earning a “D” or “F” at the External Campuses. Also students with unsatisfactory attendance records (absent more than two four-hour sessions) should be reported on the form. Students who will be absent for more than two four-hour sessions must write a letter to the Campus Dean explaining the reason for the absences and appeal for an exception to the attendance policy, or withdraw from the course. Otherwise, the student will receive an “F” for the course.Unsatisfactory Progress Reports must be turned in on time. Final Grade ReportsFinal grades are due within 48 hours after finals conclude at the External Campuses. Final grades must be turned in on time. |
