Student’s Right to Privacy

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their educational records. If there is any question about the rights of students under FERPA, instructors should consult the catalog or the University Registrar. Instructors must be very careful to not allow students to see the grades or evaluations of other students. Exam grades or the final grade must not be posted publicly in a way that other students can discover a particular students grade.
