 All the Virtual Campus instructors use the Blackboard learning management system (LMS) to deliver course content and to interact with students.
Blackboard is widely used in American universities and has been designed for functionality and ease of use. Still, you will probably want to know what to expect the first time you use the program. Check each of the topics at left.

The place to start can be found at http://virtualcampus.wbu.edu/webapps/login/. (If I were you, I would bookmark this URL!) Notice that there is pertinent information posted on this page about logging in and troubleshooting.


The area from which you will log in looks like this:

Username and Password

When the Virtual Campus office sets up your user account in Blackboard, we use your WBU student ID number as your username. So when you register for an online course, be sure to ask your advisor to tell you the nine-digit ID number. Your default password will be the first three letters of your first name plus the first three letters of your last name (no capitals or spaces). Once you have logged into Blackboard you can (and should) change your password. Look in the Tools box for a Personal Information link.

Email

In order for the Virtual Campus and your online instructor(s) to maintain contact, you will need to set up your Wayland email account. Your instructor will use your Wayland email address to keep your informed of course news and events.
