Distance Students: Please note that our online catalog lists our electronic book collection, also known as eBooks on EBSCOhost. Distance students can not access electronic books through the book catalog. Instead, if you want to view anything labeled as an Electronic Resource or Computer File, you will need to search for that book using the eBooks logo below. This only affects electronic books.

Request Form

Note: ILL services for books are available. Due to current circumstances, books may take longer to arrive. Please plan your research accordingly.

The materials request form serves two purposes. For Plainview students, this is the form used to order Interlibrary Loan items. For distance students, this is the primary form for requesting books or videos to be sent directly to students free of charge.

Local Area Libraries

In addition to the resources and services available to distance students through WBU's Learning Resources Center in Plainview, TX, we have made arrangements for distance students to use local libraries in your area. Click here for a list of those libraries, including contact information and links to their websites.

World Cat

Think of World Cat as a super catalog. It references books, videos, and more for libraries around the world. If you do not find enough resources in our local collection, you can search WorldCat and borrow items from other libraries through interlibrary loan.

For our Texas residents, the TexShare program allows patrons to checkout materials from various participating libraries. Wayland participates in the TexShare program and all Wayland faculty, staff, and students are permitted to apply for a TexShare Card.

The Texas State Library has temporarily suspended the TexShare Card Program until Governor Abbott releases the state of disaster declared on the State of Texas on March 13. If you wish to use another Texas library for research, please call that library ahead of time to find out if you can do so.

Popular Audio and E–Books

Browse our collection of popular books available through the Harrington Library Consortium. Now you can read or listen to the latest hits on your device wherever you go.

Due to our participation in the Harrington Library Consortium, our 3M book collection is limited to Wayland faculty, staff, and students. The following link will open in a new window. You will need your library account number and PIN. Contact the library staff to obtain your account information. Email Us or  Phone us at 806-291-3708 or 800-459-8648.
