Dr. Walsh is an assistant professor of physical sciences joining the faculty at Wayland Baptist University in Fall 2002. He earned a doctorate in May 2002 from Texas Tech in the area of geology. He also holds a master of science in geology degree from Oklahoma State University and a bachelor of science degree in geology from Phillips University in Oklahoma.
Walsh has research interests in all aspects of the Late Paleozoic strata and fauna and has worked on projects in New Mexico, north central Texas and southern Kansas. He has published several articles concerning his research with the Elm Creek Formation and Kansas projects, and has received grants for research.
